I have my copy of the Alligator People right here, and although I’ve had the DVD for sometime now I’ve just noticed the synopsis on the back of the case is wrong.
“A young wife (Beverly Garland) is abandoned by her husband (Lon Chaney) on their wedding day…”
The problem is, of course, Lon Chaney Jr. plays the hook-armed, hate-madden Cajun Manon, and not the husband.
I noticed that, also. The husband was played by Richard Crane. I wonder if the person who wrote the DVD box synopsis actually saw the movie... Probably not.

Such was not the case in the screenplay.
