DVD from Warner Archives 9/21/10

-30- has beeen released from the Warner Archives collection as of this date. Unlike most Archives titles, this one has been digitally restored (something they've begun to do with a few films in the series), which however bumps its price up from the usual $19.95 to $24.95. Still, buying direct from WBshop.com remains much cheaper and faster than buying from other sites, which charge $8 or $9 more and don't have the titles available until weeks or months later.

-30- is anything but a "realistic" newspaper story, and Jack Webb's Dragnet-style approach makes it almost laughable, but it's for those very reasons that this film is enjoyable on a non-serious, kind of dopey, level.
