What's the deal with the 4th Season?

I fell in love with this program as it plays on our local channel daily. But now we're at the 4th season. It looks as if they were trying to figure out a spin-off using Barbara Stanwyck (sic) and some guy who was a doctor. Totally takes the heart out of the whole series.

Anyone who is buying the series on DVD might be better off skipping the 4th season. The rest, though, are great.

They tried to water down the show by eliminating much of the violence of its first three seasons. Plus, they used five episodes as pilots for possible spin-of series (the two Barbara Stanwyck episodes, the Floyd Gibbons episode, and the Drs. Gifford and Garr episodes). It all made for a very disjointed season although there are some good episodes amidst the rubble such as "Globe of Death", "A Fist of Five", "Snowball", "The Jazz Man", "Junk Man", and "The Night They Shot Santa Claus."

Yeah, I agree with Joe. - There are some good episodes in the fourth season (The Jazz Man is personally one of my favorites of the entire series!)

We can DO IT ALLLL DAY LONG, (We'll have to pay more for the light bill if we do it at night!)
