The Real Eliot Ness

I wonder if fans can help me with this. I have been reading online that the real Eliot Ness was drunkard and a womanizer. The latter is the that really troubles me. It implies that Ness had adulterous affairs with other women. Women found him to be a real catch. I never thought Eliot Ness was a saint but believed he was a man of virtue. I find dishearting that womanizer is attached to Ness's name. After his days as an Untouchable he frequented bars at all hours of the night. This got out to the press along with alleged womanizing. Sad that Ness was not a faithful man to his wife Edna. Married three times and divorce back in the thirites and forties was frowned upon. Al Capone was a alcoholic and a serial cheater with prositutes. Pity that Ness's personal life mirrors closely that of Capone.
