I hate when people think they are not animals.

If you're referring to the Peter Falk episode, it was definitely Castro.

I never read much on that piece of shit, so I don't know if his original intentions were noble or not.

That is definitely the one.

They just gave it.
Damn that actor was so good.
He deserved multiple awards.

Castro is a total piece of shit.
Most of what I know isnt by reading it’s by accounts.

Absolutely right: that was a great cast all around, and Falk as the revolutionary Clemente knocked it out of the park.

In this episode, Clemente starts out as a man leading a revolution to overthrow a corrupt government that abused its people. Of course, in a TZ twist, we see the man corrupted by absolute power and doing the same thing as the man they overthrew, with that cool mirror thrown into the mix to give it some TZ "magic".

I don't know though if Castro's *original* intent was noble and benevolent or not. If that's what actually happened in the Cuban Revolution, then this TZ episode is probably far closer to reality than it is to fiction!!

Yea Clemente. He played him so well he couldve been a real life Dictator. I’m sure Castro looked at the portrayal as admiration.

No doubt that’s the same shit that happened in real life with Castro overthrowing Bautista but then doing the same exact shit even way worst than when he got there. I dont think to be so evil that is original intent was to be a good hero. You cant have good intent morales and then turn so bad and evil. He was a goddamn lawyer for god sake. It was his plan all along for to him play the hero and take over.

This episode was the exact same reality that happened with the tz twist of the mirror and having morales but in reality the mf never had any( since it is a tv show). There was even strong rumours he died ages ago of cancer but they used doubles to continue corruption.

Peter Falk was meant to be a dictator like Fidel.

despite the similarity, the story is good and stands on its own.

I finally saw this for the first time and didn't enjoy it. It was probably the least subtle out of all the TZ episodes, which is strange because Rod Serling wrote it. Besides, something about it being so obvious about who it was referencing made it feel kind of cheap. Like, who didn't know that Castro was a bad guy so why do an episode about it?

reply

Not only was that definitely Castro, one of the lieutenants is modeled after Che Guevara.
