I don't know how to describe it , but I saw an ep of TZ where it looked like it was all shot on a set. People looked in high def and here were big shadows behind them. Made me think they were shot using a different process, like it's cheaper.

I don't know about the technical aspects, but this episode had a very young Billy Mumy talking to his dead Grandma.
It looked more like a teleplay than a regular TV show. It just caught my eye.

Indeed it was. I had lost track of the story with my fascination of the look. Reminded me of watching a soap opera. They just look different as opposed to watching say, the Love Boat.
