What would you rate "Young Man's Fancy"?

I like it. Good twist. Nice performance by Phyllis Thaxter. Longest intro by Serling (and looking mighty dapper delivering it). A supremely warped relationship between son and mother (the young man's fancy is ... his mom?@!). A solid "7" for me.

For me, I'll give it a five. Not good or bad, its just... there.

I think it is well-done, but I find the ending to be excruciating. My heart goes out to the Phyllis Thaxter character. An incredibly Oedipal story.

4.5. Far from one of my favorites in the series.

It’s not awfully-executed, but the premise is odd (not in a good way) and uninteresting to me. That ending in particular is what kills this episode for me... so puzzling and irksome.

It’s Oedipal indeed.
