Who was the narrator?

I know that William Conrad was the narrator of the earliest episodes---his voice is so distinctive you can't miss it---but someone else took over the narrator duties after a few episodes and remained on the show throughout its run. Who was this? I can't find any other credits for narrator than those for Conrad.

Hans Conried, perhaps?
I'm old enough that I was able to do this from memory, and young enough that I was able to do this from memory. ;-)

I think Hans Conried did some of the voices on the show, Captain Peachfuzz in particular if my memory serves me. But he had a very distinctive voice and I don't think he is the person I'm thinking of.

I've become quite a fan of Conried, however, in recent years as I have been listening to him quite a lot on old time radio. He was on a ton of shows and played a wide variety of characters--not just the funny types that he was known for on television. He could play a pretty convincing villain.

The narrator of the show after Conrad had a pretty distinctive voice, as well, and I am sure that I have heard him elsewhere. In any event, thanks for bringing up Hans Conried. He was a great actor.

William Conrad was the narrator of the Rocky and Bullwinkle segments through all five seasons. Early in the first season, he was using a more conventional, "authoritative" style of delivery with a lower pitch. But then he was directed to sound excited, even hysterical, over the action in the story, and his voice went up in pitch. So the difference in the voice comes from the change in the approach to the voice acting - all done by the same excellent actor.

I know this is late by many years but Fractured Fairy Tales was narrated by Edward Everett Horton. I'm here watching an episode of Dennis the Menace and Horton was one of the characters and I recognized that voice.

How can anyone NOT know this?
