Remake?

Does anyone know if there is going to be a remake of this series like the planned Have Gun, Will Travel?

If so, I'd like to suggest that either Gary Coleman or Emmanuel Lewis be cast as Johnny Yuma.

How about we cast Boy George as you, idiot?

reply

Yes, and Pee Wee Herman as his wife!

What a stupid thread. Nick Adams was 5'7, so what? He is excellent in "The Rebel". Very intense actor.

reply

Yes, he was intense...although the New Jersey accent detracted from the character, in my opinion. Fortunately, the series was well written and blessed with supporting casts who better fit a western than Nick Adams did. He was a passable actor, when given the right material (same with any actor. I doubt someone who specializes in Shakespeare would necessarily do well in a sitcom, and, likewise, I doubt most sitcom actors would be especially well-suited to action roles), but I honestly find Adams to be the weakest aspect of this otherwise excellent series. If The Rebel IS remade, I hope it's remade with an actor who at least sounds plausibly like a Texan.

This is silly. Another person who wants a remake.
