question about "Rawhide: The Complete Series" DVD set

I wanted to buy the "Rawhide: The Complete Series" DVD set because it was significantly cheaper than purchasing the single season and half-season sets, but I see that it's already out of print.

The Amazon Marketplace bloodsuckers have already upped the price to 600 dollars.

Does anyone know why this DVD set was discontinued?

walmart.com has the set for 253 and change.
