Was Zelda really THAT bad?

I know she wasn't as beautiful as Thealia, but I never thought Zelda was wasn't that bad looking herself. I always thought it was cute when she did that twitch with her nose...

Many of the best episodes had Zelda in them.

Tuesday Weld was beautiful, but she was all about money. That gets old after a while. I thought Zelda character was cute. I was shocked to see she only appeared in 33 episodes.

I think it was to emphasize the idea of going for very attractive rather than settling for 'just okay.' While James (her name then) wasn't ugly by any stretch of the imagination (kind of cute, to be honest), she wasn't considered to be extremely beautiful.

That said, even though I wasn't alive back then and didn't see the show until many MANY years later, I thought she was cute. Then I found out she swung the other way and I was like, "NOOOOOOOO!"

I liked all the characters, but Zelda was the only one I could imagine being buddies with. The rest were more stereotypical "types," but Zelda seemed like a real person. I had felt the same way about Jackie, the same actress's character on the Stu Erwin Show.

Sheila and Dwayne stayed friends until he passed away. I am not sure they stayed pals with Bob and Tuesday. Maybe.
