Incomplete Review

I turned this movie or TV show on in the middle of it, so I don't have a complete review. What I liked about it? I only recognized Ben Johnson. All the other actors were not really well known to me. I liked the fact that the two young men were relatively unknown, not heavy weights. This helped make this into a pretty decent and original episode or movie. The real sheriff is injured in a gunfight with the supporters of a local criminal and bully played by Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson is very polite and confident that he has the backing of most of the area on his side. When the sheriff gets wounded, two young men take his place. It was very interesting seeing young males grow into men over the tremendous odds they faced getting their prisoner to the hanging. They don't like their job much, but they have to do it. There must have been tremendous competition in those days to do a western that was original. This one succeeded.
