Henry Fonda is not playing the same character in the 1957 movie as he is in the 1959 TV series, "The Deputy" but it's hard not to think that this show was inspired by the 1957 film. Allen Case is learning to be a lawman under Fonda's tutelage just as Anthony Perkins was.
