...verify that Ben was actually in the cell and not the impostor? It seems pretty simple to me- they both knew each other very well. Ben could have easily verified himself by having Roy simply ask him a few basic questions that only Roy and Ben would know. It could have been about a previous adventure, or how much money Ben has donated to his re-election campaign... there are soooo many opportunities to distinguish Ben from the con, so why did Roy simply let the Con go? And why did Ben not insist in simply verifying who he is?
