"Stallion"

From Nov. 1972 - nearly all the music is from the future LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE ... kind of interesting, huh? :)

I noticed that too!

I've been hearing the "Little House" music throughout the series, as early as the first season, but I know that later on in the series the opening theme song of "LHOTP" plays throughout at least one episode. I know Michael Landon used the same guy for music on LHOTP that they used on Bonanza, and nothing about Bonanza reminds me of LHOTP except for the music.

I wonder how people who watched Bonanza first felt about hearing such similar music on LHOTP.

Right - his name is/was David Rose (I'm not sure if he's still around).

Anyway, I think that he was amazingly talented, in terms of writing all of the background music (you could tell right away by the music if the scene was going to be humorous, sad, romantic, bittersweet, scary, etc.!)
