Adventures in Paradise Theme Music used 3 Years Earlier

Like many people, I've always loved Lionel Newman's lush, exotic and haunting theme for "Adventures in Paradise."

Imagine my surprise when, while watching the 1956 thriller released by United Artists, "A Kiss Before Dying" (also scored by Newman), I heard the same theme music played.

For those of you who hunt the film down (it's been shown on the MGM HD channel), watch for an interrogation scene between actress Virginia Leith and Robert Quarry in a cool, Tiki-themed bar.

You will hear the familiar theme used as background music and played in a sort of muted Arthur Lyman-style arrangement.
