To bad he does not get more kudos for his dancing, a true powerhouse with more force then Fred and Gene combined.

yeah he really was a great dancer, i loved him in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! He was so good...

He is wonderful in West Side Story too! Especially in the dance at the gym.

I just saw this movie on TMC and was trying to recall if I'd ever seen it when it came out. (I was 10 at that time.) None of the songs or scenes looked familiar,which surprised me since I was the kind of kid that thrived on fantasy and definitely would have remembered something. In any case, I really enjoyed it! After thinking it over for a while, I realized that I had seen "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm" which also starred Russ Tamblyn as Tom Thumb! To this day he's one of my favorite dancers, especially in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", not to mention "West Side Story."

That's what I was thinking, Fred and Gene were brilliant dancers, but Russ Tamblyn was actually an athlete in a class by himself!
