This is a very good movie!

I saw it when it was released as a very young boy and it is a good movie. Christopher Plummer and Burl Ives are very good in this movie especially Burl Ives. Included in the cast in minor roles are Gypsie Rose Lee and a young Peter Falk. It takes place in Florida around 1900 and the Florida Everglades scenery is awesome and the end is outstanding. Hopefully an English version has survived and it can be showned on tv by TCM or another station or on youtube. It deserves to be shown. This is one of many films that seems to have been neglected by the industry. Too bad. :(

Perhaps now that it was shown recently in Florida SOMEONE will make it available on a DVD. I remember seeing it decades ago on TV and it has haunted mr since.
It derves a wider audience.

It was based on the real story of a man who fought the bird hunters. Alas, it is not now available in ANY form I can find, Does anyone knoe how to get in touch with Christopher Plummer??? this movie deserves to be seen again and AGAIN.
