Wide screen
Unfortunately Wind.... is not being shown in wide screen. It's listed aspect ration is 1:85 to 1. Are there any
copies in letterbox format circulating? Is there a widescreen 35 mm preservation print in some library somewhere?
There is a DVD available from France but I don't personally own it yet and I'm not sure what the aspect ratio is...

...the comments in one of the reviews indicates 1:33.
This may have been open matte rather than cropped, so it actually isn't so bad, but in any case at least it was uncut and this is the one Nick Ray film from the widescreen era that doesn't use CinemaScope/the Scope shape, so the damage isn't quite as profound as it could have been.
