Where in Alberta was this filmed?

So Alberta Canada is 640,081 km2 (247,137 sq mi). Saying it is filmed in Alberta, is kind of like saying this was filmed in Montana. Does anyone know where exactly this was filmed? Not in Calgary, as that is an urban center. I would seriously like to research this, and any help would be appreciated.

The lemming scene was filmed at the Bow River near downtown Calgary. Your theory was incorrect.

Wow, interesting, how do you find this out? I am not barking, just asking out of pure unbridled curiosity.
