When I saw this on the Mystery Science Theater Hour, it was packaged with that demigod of androgyny, Mr. B Natural. Did these originally play together, or was is just a decision on the part of MST3K to put them on the same episode?

They put them together on MST3K. They often did this (adding shorts to the movie) when the movie they watched was too short to fill the 90 minutes an episode length the show had.
