DVD?
Does anyone know when the dvd or blu-ray is going to come out?

The film has long been available on DVD via Movies Unlimited (moviesunlimited.com), in a good copy. Just recently I learned that the original version exists in a Region 2 disc from the Czech Republic. It was difficult to track down (on Amazon), and it may be out of print because it's only available from private sellers. I actually ordered it from Amazon UK, where I have an account. I haven't received it yet but the friend who got it and told me about it says it's excellent. In the original Czech but with optional English subtitles. Of course you need a Region 0 player to be able to watch it in the US.
