Violent Road is a 'B' movie classic!

I absolutely love this movie. It is so corny, in some scenes, and some of the acting is way overdone, but still it just makes the movie more fun to watch. ----- "Wages of Fear" and "The Sorcercer" are great movies on the topic of truck drivers driving in dangerous conditions, but "Violent Road" remains my fav. ----- ----- Rusty

While I can't say I prefer this film to either Wages of Fear or Sorcerer, I agree that it is very enjoyable. Some of the wisecracks and banter are pure 1950's hard-boiled pulp, and Brian Keith has never been better as a certain type of swaggering man's man peculiar to that Era.

"Wilson would shrink his own mother's head for a dollar."

"I'm not allergic to a buck, either."

"You pull a stunt like that again I'll rub yer face in the sand til its hamburger!"

Yes Brian Keith had some great lines in "Violent Road" raegen_butcher. ----- At the bar he said, "You're in love with sound of your own voice". ----- When they pull over for the night and he talks to the professor "I ain't got you figured out yet". That line cracks me up because all he was paid for to do is just drive a truck, and he's trying to figure out what the professor is up to. ----- And my favorite quote is when the kid is watching his brother throw up in the bathroom sink, "Here wipe the drool". ----- "Violent Road" is great. ----- ----- Rusty
