The further the film goes, the more it becomes a war of attrition for the two half-brothers & enemies. Einar loses his left eye & Eric his left arm ... it's a contest between them to see who can wind up the most disabled! If they don't kill each other first.
That's a great Norwegian waterfall as the backdrop in several of the boat scenes on the water.

Triva: Director Fleischer & Star Douglas were born only one day apart (Fleischer being the elder).
