Looking for The Two-Headed Spy on DVD

Does anyone know how I could get The Two-Headed Spy on DVD? My dad has wanted this movie for years and I would appreciate any suggestions about where this movie could be found.

Good question, Christianne, and I can't really help. I'm just like everyone else, I have many, many questions and very few answers !

Necturus, the brilliant I Need To Know poster who found the title, also said The Two Headed Spy hasn't come out on VHS or DVD, so the only copies available would be pirated stuff for sale floating around the web.

The only other option is to catch it on TV, and that's going to be difficult. I'm pretty sure it seldom goes on air, if it does at all - no IMDb poster born after 1980 or so ever watched it, near as I can tell. I've been thinking of asking the INTK board for TV programming tips: how does one search the web for future airings of The Two Headed Spy, anywhere at all on the earth ? If anyone here knows how to do that, or already knows about a future airing, PLEASE POST IT ON THIS BOARD.

For great "lost" films like this one, it's worth the effort to exchange copies through the mail. I'd pay the postage for a VHS copy from Australia, say, and if The Two Headed Spy ever plays here in L.A., I'd be more than happy to make a few copies for other fans of this film. (Nothing illegal, I mean copies for free plus postage - cult-movie fan stuff.)

Thank you, Arthur, for your reply.

My Dad has talked about this movie for years but, probably hasn't seen it since it actually came out. I did see a copy of it for sale on E-bay, on DVD, but what kind of condition it was in, I don't know. My brother said it wound up selling, I think, for something over $150.

Anyway, I appreciate any help or tips on finding this movie.

Wow ... Thanks, Necturus; Bob has collected a very impressive film archive indeed, and I'll certainly give him a call !

If this works, it would be a good thing all around. Any collector dreams of possessing "lost" items like The Two Headed Spy. If a great film like this fell through all the cracks, and Bob has the only available copy on earth, supplying it would give him as much satisfaction as we fans would get watching it again. I'll keep everyone updated; this board is small right now but we're very devoted fans, and interest in The Two Headed Spy could increase if it becomes available again.

I received my copy of The Two-Headed Spy today and, just wanted to let anyone interested know, that it is quite a remarkably good copy. I sort of expected one that was on the poor side, in that it never came out on video or DVD. I have yet to watch more than just the beginning but the picture is very clear and the sound is good.

Just wanted to let you know that someone else was asking about this movie on INTK recently. It prompted me to check on a couple of things and I realized there is a source to get a copy from. If I had found it before, I don't remember telling you. Anyway, whoever's looking might want to check out bpm123.net, a legit collector recommended on INTK for difficult titles. Of course, this will most likely be recorded from a TV broadcast, but it may be the best and/or only option.

Hi Dave Waitkoss,

The Two-Headed spy is obtainable from:

http://www.stojo.com

and is very reasonably priced. The film grabs look to be very good quality.

It is also obtainable from:

bpm123.net

but I don't know the price or quality.

Hope this helps,

Freda

Seller stojo just downloads AVI versions and re-converts them back to dvd video. If you're concerned with quality, you should look for the "original" dvd video elsewhere.
Seller bpm123 is more concerned with quantity than quality, so you might get crappy dvds. Also copies dvds with a dvd recorder instead of duplicating them.
