As a native speaker of Spanish, I can say Cheston's Spanish was close to incomprehensible.

Is it really that hard to get a vocal trainer for a few lines? My favourite was Janet Leigh saying "Kay" instead of "Keh" for "que". I don't get it. It's not like it's a rolled r or French r. All the sounds exist in English.
shareHeston may have been miscast in this role but without him Orson Welles would not have been associated with Touch of Evil...Remember it was Heston who had some standing in Hollywood and fought for Welles to direct the film---Welles was considered a problem by the Studios.
