Not on DVD but I have it.

Though it's not on DVD I was able to track down a good copy of the film.

I remember when this movie first came out and I still think that it is one of the BEST wartime movies ever made. Surely this film has to be available to the public somewhere.

Definitly one of the best melodramas ever. This is the artform of a tearjerker, a masterpiece. I LOVE IT !!!

Hi!

I'm looking for a certain film and I think this may be it (A TIME TO LOVE AND A TIME TO DIE)?

I was told the film I was looking for was called THE VICTORS with George Peppard but now I have my doubts.

I remember one item from this memorable film- The ending. It seems the prognosticator of the film is killed by a Russian solider in a knife fight. Is this that film?

Thanks in advance!

reply

No. Both The Victors and A Time To Love And A Time To Die end with a Russian killing the hero. The "knife ending" is in The Victors.

reply

Thanks but I'm a little confused.......How does A TIME TO LOVE AND A TIME TO DIE END? Is similar to the knife fight?

reply

The hero releases three Russians out of compassion. One of the Russians picks up a rifle and shoots him in the back.
