Thunder Road/Twilight Zone connection?

If I recall correctly, the car crash scene into the power substation at the end of the movie was also used in the beginning of the Twilight Zone episode titled "Prime Mover" in which Buddy Ebsen plays a man capable of moving objects with his mind. Can anyone out there verify this or has anyone made the same connection?
