Estelle Winwood was a wonderful character actress, whom I remember so vividly from her role in The Glass Slipper (1955).

In my opinion, she stole the show in THF. She was very fortunate to gave been given some very amusing and witty lines, and between her and the seagull that didn't fly (except for one occasion), they provided some very enjoyable scenes.

I enjoyed her as the tipsy housekeeper. Concocting her own cocktail she has named Foreign Legion because it helps her to forget. She and her seagull take a well-deserved curtain call at the end.
