Today I recall something I did as a kid

Watching the lady with the rod I recalled as a kid how I took a curtain rod and tried to make in into a divining rod. I walked over to the kitchen sink of course it didn't work but my Grandmother give me hell.
I haven't thought of this in many, many years.
