One of my favorite scenes...

Mike is holding the 400 year old head up to the window so it can look into the ranchhouse.
Next shot shows the amulet the head fears but also perfectly frames Jessica's breasts.
Head's eyes get real wide and Nelson says "Ooooo, I forgot all about those."

Come on, this is a great film. I saw it on TV when I was a kid and I thought it was scary. It had a living severed head, a headless torso, an ancient curse, and an old lady that says trayshure over and over again. What else could you ask for?

I just read the user comments for this film. I got a kick out of how just about half thought it was great, and half thought it was absolutely abysmal. Any film that draws such strong opinions definitely can't be all bad.

Actually, I saw this as a kid (About 7) on WTEN (From Albany NY) channel 10's "The Early Show" (hosted by a guy named John Stewart) The Early Show was a haven for odd monster/sci-fi movies, and it's starting time was apparently timed to catch all the kids just home from school.

As a seven year old in 1963, I found this movie pretty creepy and remembered it for years. Seeing it as an adult, I felt the critics were somewhat unfair to it. I thought it was an interesting premise. I also thought it was atmospheric.

The somewhat overplayed characters in a way added to the mood.

this is one of my favorite MST3K episodes!

"Gidget, have you lain with the horned one again?"
"Good, now I hope it rises and falls on you again"
"Here comes the bride, she's out of her friggin' mind"
Plus the several times they make fun of the way Flavia says TRAYsure

I love how they keep making up different lyrics for the "Oh What A Beautiful Mornin'" refrain. they were all so funny. Also, all the little lesbian jokes were pretty amusing, especially "Have you ever seen The Children's Hour?" I don't know why, but that one actually made me laugh out loud.

Like your enthusiasm, but I despise the term "It's all good." It's never all good. :) :(

I cracked up whenever Mike & the bots got excited about those two women sleeping in the same bed.
