2 later famous actors

I had heard that Michael Caine and the Late GEorge C. Scott were in this version, yet I cannot recall seeing them. Did I miss something?

If they told you wolverines would make good house pets, would you believe them?

I think someone misled you. Caine's first credited film role was Zulu, released six years later, although he appeared as bits and extras before that. In other words, if he's here, it's not widely known (even IMDB doesn't have the info), and it's a non-speaking part so you'd have to look closely to catch it, if he's there at all. Scott did appear in a version of A Tale of Two Cities in 1958, but it was on American television: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0207142/. Since he hadn't graduated to theatrical film at the time, I would hardly expect Scott to appear in a very British Rank Organisation film.

I am sure we would have found out by now if Caine and Scott were in this film.
