Does anyone have any info on this film's music ?

Composer was Richard Markowitz, who went on to have a pretty successful career that lasted from 1958 into the early Nineties. This was his first screen credit...I was surprised at some of the major stuff he later had a part in.
The opening credits listed the name of the jazz combo, but I don't remember it, and it's not shown here. Probably some L.A. hipster outfit--strictly local...but cool, man, cool...
