This may have been commented on previously but I can't be bothered looking for it, but what was up with Bloody Mary when she freaks out at Joe? Everything's all fine and dandy, they're singing "Happy Talkin'", frolicking in the bushes and then when Joe expressed doubts about marrying Mary's daughter, she does a complete freak out, rips his dad's gold watch out of the girl's hands and runs off to find somebody else to pimp her out to. I was taken aback by her swerve, to use a wrestling term.

To be fair, it's implied he's been sleeping with her daughter so she had the expectation that he'd marry her. But if u pimp out ur daughter, u take that risk.

he had sex with a presumably innocent and only THEN 'mentions' he is already engaged to another woman. Really? oy~ men.

Her whole plan is for Joe Cable to marry Liat. It's the driving force behind everything she does from the moment she meets him. When he says he can't marry Liat, everything she's worked for has come crashing down. She's more angry at that than she is directly at Joe.
