Ginnie's former hoodlum boyfriend

When he jumped Sinatra outside, I wish Frank would've finished him off right then and there. I knew it wasn't the last we'd be seeing of him. I had a feeling he was never going to stop. He jumped Frank and even went after him with a broken bottle. With his military training, Sinatra could've killed him and it would've been self-defense. There were witnesses that saw who started it.

Sinatra's Dave was a tough guy who evidentally saw this guy as a punk, easily whipped, no problem.

I'm a bit reminded of Al Pacino as Carlito in "Carlito's Way," misjudging, early on, Benny Benito from the Bronx (John Leguziamo.)

So am I. That always bothered me about Carlito's Way. He was very stupid not to kill Benny Blanco from the Bronx. Blanco warned him. He told him to kill him there because if he ever saw him again, he would kill him.
