A so-so film that had great potential

I think the mark was missed slightly with this film. It seems they straddle the fence between spoof and seriousness. I think spoof was intended, and the film just didn't go far enough in that direction. Compare this film to "Red Garters" (from roughly the same time period) and you'll see what I mean.
