Marion's ghost lolling through the gardens in the chase scene!

Board,

Does anyone have a suggestion as to why Marion's ghost was lolling thru those gardens as it chased after Jenni Whitlock?

I thought it was unintentional comedy.

There should always be weird confusing funny moments in horror films which make you chuckle uncontrollably.

Matrix29,
You might be own to something. My research indicates that
it was a very shocking scene to the audience members when it was revealed.
This movie came out to the world in January 1959. The ghost scences are quite shocking to say the least. And the chase scene, to me is quite horrifying.
As a child, that scene disturbed me the most, and I had nightmares for months after seeing it. You have too remember, movie audiences were not familiar with violence and gore, during that circa of horror films, unlike today's audience members are used to gratuitous violence and gore.
So I am pretty sure, their were shocks a plenty when TSS premiered!!!

I liked the shot of the ghost coming out of the greenhouse and down the steps, but then later when it was running, it made me laugh. They should have stayed with the floating ghostly effect rather than having her run like that.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.
