She was so beautiful and from what I saw of her in Return, a fine actress. Betty Davis becomes a megastar and not Norma? Huh? Probably put her marriage ahead of career. That must have been it. There can be no other explanation.
If she did put raising a family ahead of acting, she was a good lass. But I think if you check her filmography, you will find she did lots of TV, before and after RoD. She and all the other players were very good in this. Good director. But the score was the real star.
