Scared me to death!

I thought Francis Lederer made a great Dracula...he was so creepy and evil... and the music is what really scared me. Of course I was a kid but the scene of Jennie running to the window and just falling down dead. Her running to the crypt before daylight...of course the stake thru the heart with the color scene of the blood. It really creeped me out.. and of course the poor cat too.

Watched it years later with my younger neices and nephews and they just laughed at it...guess all the Michael Myer, Jason and such movies made this look tame.

Still one of my favorites and still gives me the creeps!!!

I agree! I remembered this film from televised viewings in the Sixties. In one of my olf Famous Monsters magazines, there was a spread of Bellac/Dracula impaled in the pit. As a child, it frightened me so much that I tore out those pages and discarded them!

It's a movie worth repeated viewings!
