Narration and dubbing

The historical narration at the start in English is by a voiceover artist with a very distinctive enunciation which I recognise from other epics of the period. Can anyone identify him?

Also, is Ettore Manni dubbed? I presume so. Anyone know which actor dubbed his voice?
