This movie was so ahead of its time!!!

It's set in 1985, by which time mini-skirts had come and gone, and flat-screen monitors were yet to come...

Good points. The flat-screen TV alone was identical to today's.

And the 1958 guess at 1985 was quite accurate.

Hmm just noticed. Could "1985" be a reversal of "1958" ala Orwell's "1984"?
