space crew uniforms

the grey uniforms worn by the space crew early in the movie appear to have been re-used from the classic 'forbidden planet'. hats, too.

And also for the civil defense members in the 1960 "The Time Machine"

I'm sure I saw one of Altaira's costumes in there as well!

And of course you always wear high heels with your uniforms.

Wikipedia noted the costume of the queen's guard as well as the colors of red, blue and yellow may have influenced the star trek uniforms.

Argh, beat me to it. Just watched this again this morning and was going to mention that. It was pretty obvious.

Then again, if you think about it, using a primary color scheme is not all that original. They didn't need to copy anything. Could just be a coincidence.

I thought that also, but on some episodes of star trek, they would wear these shirts with gold glitter material attached, and one of the main girls had an outfit like that, and she was important, like Spock and Kirk.

This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but close enough.

You certainly did...the gold net mini-dress Robbie whipped up for Alta after the captain chewed her out for being too "exposed". "Absolutely nothing must show, above, below or underneath".
