Front-of-House still shows scene not in finished film.

I recently (August, 2015) obtained the original British Front-of-House set of eight colour stills from the film and the first still (when I placed the stills in the order of how each scene appeared in the film)shows a scene that wasn't in the release version of the film. It shows Steve Cochran wearing a Confederate uniform, talking to a uniformed Confederate general in a room, as if the general is giving him his orders for his mission behind Union lines. Maybe this was how the film originally began, but the release version, which I first saw as an eleven year old in 1958, starts off with Cochran in civilian clothes joining up with a Union military wagon train.
