Don't get it... (spoilers)


...from a filmmaking perspective. He intentionally limps. Okay. Then he forgets to put his shoe on so he has no limp at the bank. He leaves and the banker notices the lack of limp. Then this plot thread went absolutely nowhere. I was waiting for him to return to the bank and have to escape the police from there. Instead, the police are already on his track anyway via a different route (the girl) having nothing to do with the bank. Just a big fat red herring for absolutely no reason.

I thought it was a nice touch for him to go to the bank without the built-up shoe. Probably he didn't have access to it. The reaction of the clerk as he left hinted that things were going to go from bad to worse for him. That helped to set the mood.
