About the Iceberg:

the morning after the disaster, a German merchant ship saw a huge iceberg. The CARPATHIA had not yet reached NYC, so the Germans did not know about the sinking of TITANIC. However, they noticed in the berg's base a streak of what looked like paint. Suspecting that the berg had hit a ship, they took a photograph of it; that photograph was the model for the iceberg that appears in ANTR.
