Where was the plot?

Woman is overseas and has married, husband takes her back to states.

They arrive at house she knows from a dream.

House hasn't been lived in in 17 yrs yet the caretaker has been there for decades. Why?

Apparently madness is in husband's family but there's no back story or flashbacks. The story wraps up and you hardly know what was going on!

Five people in entire movie except for extras on plane! (lol)
