and soon. This was one of the few monster movies that terrified me as a child. The others being The Blob, Fiend Without a Face & Black Lagoon.

But Piedras Blancas was just terrifying. When the creature appeared out of the freezer with that guy's decapitated head and later the head on the beach with the crab crawling over it!! Man this movie scarred me. The head in the cave with crab crawling on it was later swiped by Spielberg in Jaws. If I remember correctly, it also decapitated a little girl, offscreen of course.

The monster's face was also pretty scary.
