Is It Possible that the Monster survived in the end? SPOILERS!

In the climax of THE MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS, the hero played by Don Sullivan knocks the Monster off the top of the Lighthouse by hitting him with a rifle butt and the monster falls off the Lighthouse falling into the sea.But there is no scene showing the monster;s body in the water and since the creature is definitely an amphibious being, it's entirely possible and plausible that not only the monster survived the fall but that it is alive in the ocean floor ready to strike again!

Interesting take. It's pretty likely an amphibious creature would have survived a toss into the sea. He's only inhuman.

A legitimate point. I had my doubts that the monster was really vanquished.
