Deserves more showings

A tough, violent film with an interesting and talented cast.

Why not pair this with Along Came Jones? Cooper produced and starred in that picture which spoofs his silent cowboy persona. Quite a contrast that shows the range of the artist.

Everyone in Australia must visit their local Big W, K-Mart or Target and buy this for around $11. It is one of the best westerns, and is amazingly available here but not (yet) in the U.S.

Don't listen to His Cliveness. JONES was a hoot. Coop should be proud.

"Mr. Holmes, they were the footprints of a gigantic hound!"

I'm glad to see TCM showing this more frequently now in the US. I saw this movie as a kid on TV when (of course) no movie was ever shown in widescreen format. Now I finally get to see it in widescreen and all I can say is "Wow!" Coop gives a terrifically understated performance and Cobb is fabulous as always. A very underrated western.
