DVD for this Great Western

Will this movie make it to DVD? What a great movie. I'd love to see it get a Criterion like treatment, but would take a crisp, clear, movie only, new DVD of it also. Can we campaign anywhere?

Criterion like? No. This should just plain get a Criterion. It's only one of the best movies ever made.

I jus found out today that MoTW will be released by MGM on May 20th! At last, the DVD is here!

That is great news. I'm surprised. You're right, this would have been a great western for Criterion to tackle, but I'm happy with this. A few extras would be nice.

No extras, nothing, not even the trailer. One of the greatest films -- not just westerns -- ever made, and MGM literally dumps it onto the market.

No extras??!! How sad and disrespectful. My copy just arrived yesterday, but I haven't opened the box yet.

Walmart has it in their $7.50 dvd movies.

Yes. No extras- not even a trailer. But worthwhile if you can find it for less than $10.
